The Foods class is currently completing a Food Safety unit. This week they grew bacteria in Petri dishes from samples obtained by swabbing common areas such as door handles and their hands. They hypothesized which areas would produce more colonies of growth. Some students chose to examine the bacteria they grew closer by using a microscope. Our experiment demonstrated the need to keep food prep areas clean and to wash our hands!
