The Wellness Committee invites anyone in the community that’s interested to attend our meetings; to learn and participate in planning and decision making regarding our Wellness Policy. Please contact Cortney Sorensen: csorensen@emknights.org, if interested.

During the 2022-2023 school year, Elmwood-Murdock Public Schools completed the Wellness Committee Triennial Assessment. The assessment concluded our District meets the requirements as outlined in our Wellness Policy (No. 5417). It also helped the District identify areas where we could strengthen our policy and its implementation, which include student and public involvement. The EMPS Wellness Committee will continue to meet 4 times per year and complete a yearly review and update of the policy.

The Wellness Committee is for both staff and students, and to promote wellness throughout the community.

The USDA and NDE assist in setting standards and requirements for the School Wellness Policy.

School meals, availability of water, classroom parties, nutrition promotion and education, Physical Education and recess, staff wellness, and more!
